| Gay and lesbian people who are comfortable with their sexuality will tell you that their experience of being with someone of the same gender feels perfectly natural, whereas being with someone of the opposite gender feels unnatural. But often the underlying assumption of those who argue that homosexuality is unnatural is that penilevaginal intercourse is the only natural way to be sexually active. If we accept this assumption, then heterosexuals who engage in sexual activity other than penile vaginal intercourse are unnatural as well.
There are also those who argue that the sexual act is unnatural unless it involves the possibility of procreation. But that argument fails to recognize the many heterosexuals who practice birth control or who, for whatever reason, are unable to procreate.
